Undergraduate Programs

Fort Hays State University (FHSU), founded in 1902, is a comprehensive public university located on a beautiful 200-acre campus in Hays, Kansas.  FHSU has over 15,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs, including a doctoral program in Nursing.  FHSU has one of the lowest tuition rates in Kansas in the US. FHSU is accredited by the US Higher Learning Commission.

Joint Programs with Myanmar Ivy College of Business and Technology

Bachelor’s Degrees

Myanmar students have the options of (1) completing the whole program in Myanmar (2) completing the whole program in the U.S. at the FHSU campus, and (3) transferring to the U.S. at any time during the program.

If a student transfers to the U.S. FHSU campus, he or she will receive $1,000 scholarship per semester for each semester in which they are enrolled at FHSU as an on-campus full-time student and meet academic standards to remain in good standing.

Fort Hays State University Virtual College Programs

Fort Hays State University Virtual College has over 60 affordable fully-accredited, online degrees in other areas including Agricultural Business, Business Education, Criminal Justice, Education, Environmental Geosciences, General Studies (multiple concentrations available), Geography/ GIS, Health Studies, and Human Health and Performance. FHSU Virtual College also provides programs including MBA, Education, Professional Studies, and Doctor of Nursing. 

Students may be able to directly enroll in these online programs. Please contact MICBT office or FHSU Office for availability of these programs.

Admission Requirement

High School Completion or Equivalent

IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 500 or iTEP 4 or Foundation Program

Students without the required language scores may be admitted to the Foundation Program.  At the end of the 1st year, students are required to take the tests. In cases where students cannot achieve the required scores at the end of the 1st year, they will be placed on probation. Students who fail to achieve the required language test scores at the end of the second year are not allowed to continue into the third year until they have achieved the required language scores.

Scholarships

Full Tuition

For the first two years of the program, MICBT provides full tuition scholarships to

outstanding students. A typical full scholarship student will have at least 5 distinctions in the

matriculation exam (or 5 A’s in the IGCSE exam) and an IELTS score of 6.5.

Other Scholarships

For the first two years of the program, MICBT also provides 50% tuition scholarships and

other awards to students with distinctions in the matriculation exams (or ‘A’s in IGCSE

subjects).

Faculty & Teaching

The programs will be offered through a mixture of on-campus instruction provided by MICBT and online instruction provided by FHSU. 

MICBT faculty consists of local lecturers (with master’s and doctoral degrees) and overseas visiting faculty (mainly professors from U.S. and Canadian universities).
